You may need to bring your new BTC bobble hat as, whilst the water temperature will be OK (normal pool temp approx 27C) we can’t guarantee the air temperature!
Book now on line - the first few weeks are posted. We are limited to 30 athletes and often get close to that, so sign up early to avoid disappointment!
OPEN WATER SWIM COACHING.
We are doing open water swim techniques in the “slide side” lane for the first three weeks, so the number of slots is actually 22 across the other three lanes. It is already booked up from an earlier notice, so unless we have some drop-outs there are no more slots. Sorry! This is 3rd, 10th and 17th April.
SWIM COACHING DEVELOPMENTS
The Swim Development Team have been hard at work in recent weeks in a bid to improve our swim coaching. From 24th April the format will change. The intent is to make the coaches more visible to, and proactive with, the athletes. There will be more input from the coaches, akin to what we already offer in run sessions. It will be more than a remotely prescribed effort session.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?
Two coaches and an activator on hand across four lanes.
Self seeding on the night into “slow”, “medium”, “fast” and “elite” lanes.
Warm Up - approx 10 minutes.
Drills - usually 15 minutes.
Main Set - usually 30 minutes.
Cool Down - approx 5 minutes.
The coaches will ensure that everyone knows what they need to do.
