We are pleased to announce that plans are now in hand to re-establish the Beccles Triathlon on the race calendar for 2022. Entries will open on Saturday 18th December 2021 at 11am. The event is due to take place, based at the Beccles Lido, on Sunday 12th June 2022 starting at 8:30am.
We have an entry limit of 200, however a significant portion of the available places will be offered to athletes with "deferrals, discounts and discretionary places" etc from the cancelled event in 2020 prior to general entries being invited. We are currently working through the 2020 list and the affected athletes can expect to be contacted within the next few weeks.
Please remember that this is, primarily, an opportunity for Beccles to facilitate an event for the benefit of all triathletes in our area. Accordingly, current Beccles Triathlon Club members with a 2022 entry will be required to assist in the holding of the event in some way. This will not detract from their participation in the race. Alternatively, an appropriate, named and contactable substitute volunteer can be offered by the competitor. This will be managed as part of the entry process.
